Andarna's story is filled with tragedy and triumph. Her dam, Blueberry, was the matriarch of my herd for 4 amazing years. Blueberry was my highest appraising doe, but her everyone loved her because of her sweet and social nature. At a robust 9 years old, I didn't hesitate to breed her again, but as she neared the last month of pregnancy, Blueberry developed terrible pain from an old hip injury as she carried her growing twins. Every day for nearly a month, I spent hours caring for Blueberry and asking her if she could hang on. She did. Just after Christmas, she easily delivered her gigantic twins with no assistance and Andarna entered my life. Blueberry helped to raise her twins for 6 weeks before she finally told me she was ready to go. Her hip was not going to get any better and she passed peacefully with a mouthful of Mrs. Pasture's cookies and getting all the scratches she constantly craved.

Even though Andarna is still very young, she is proving to be her mother's daughter through and through. You can't enter the pasture without Andarna galloping up with ears flying and loudly demanding she be given the attention she is due. At only 9 weeks old, Andarna was the junior Grand Champion at the 2026 Florida State fair, earing her dry leg. I absolutely can't wait to see this kiddo as she grows.

Andarna is a 3/4 sibling to our other two Blueberry daughters, Sandhill Oaks CL Kendra and Sandhill Oaks CL Ariana. Andarna's father is a half brother to the sire of Kendra and Ariana.
